The International Misophonia Foundation (IMF) is a newly forming non-profit based in The United States (Missouri). The IMF is founding with the goal of helping sufferers of Misophonia, their families, researchers, and clinicians to find resources for the disorder and help facilitate research on the disorder. Misophonia International will be officially joining the IMF as of September 1^st, 2023.

As we begin our journey, we are asking persons with Misophonia and their families to help us with this vision. We are offering a “Founding Donor” membership where you will have access to special discounts on conferences, and free downloads and resources to share with loved ones and your community, as well as a reduced fee for researchers who are submitting their proposals. Founding Donors will receive LIFETIME access to this membership, whereas we will be charging yearly fees to regular, non-Founding Donor members. Please note, this initial Founding Donor membership is not eligible for a tax receipt as we are still in the process of filing for 501c(3) designation.

Our plan is to use donations in the following ways:

1. Operating costs and expenses
2. Funding academic research studies
3. Creating an academic peer-reviewed journal for Misophonia research
4. Grants and scholarships for Misophonia classes or other education
5. Creating resources for sufferers of Misophonia, families, clinicians, and researchers
